        "content": "<p>Prosecution seeks death for heroin smuggler<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors Anwarudin and Eben Silalahi proposed a death sentence<br>\nfor Nigerian national Sylvester Obiekwe Nwolise, who has been<br>\ncharged with smuggling 1.2 kilograms of heroin from Pakistan into<br>\nthe country late last year.<\/p>\n<p>Reading their final arguments before a panel of judges at the<br>\nTangerang District Court, the prosecutors stated that the<br>\nevidence and testimony had proven the defendant to be guilty.<\/p>\n<p>Nwolise was arrested at Sukarno-Hatta Airport on December 21<br>\nafter a city police detective received information that the<br>\ndefendant would arrive with the drugs on a flight from Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Later, following a tip-off from Nwolise, the police then<br>\nmanaged to foil another smuggling attempt of 1.5 kilograms of<br>\nheroin from Pakistan and arrested another Nigerian, Daniel<br>\nEnemuo, alias Diarrassouba Mamadou, on January 4.<\/p>\n<p>The latter is also on trial at the Tangerang District Court.<\/p>\n<p>Presiding judge Maha Nikmah adjourned the hearing until August<br>\n16 to hear the defendant&apos;s defense statement. -- JP<\/p>",
