TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Property brokers generally in Indonesia are ineffective as a result of the property agent\u2019s turnover level. A professional property broker, Tonny Eddy, said that this was caused by the instability of the property broker system which is commonly used. \u201cThe current system, the traditional freelance broker, is not sustainable,\u201d he said last week.<\/p>\n
Therefore, it is not surprising that generally property broker companies can only have two productive employees out of ten employees. \u201cThese two people can only last for two years,\u201d said Tony, which acknowledged having been in this business for 10 years. The 100 percent commission system in the United States is proven able to overcome a high turnover.<\/p>\n
Even REMAX, a property agent which has been using this system for 30 years, dominates 45 percent of the broker market in America. \u201cThey managed to surpass Century 21 which dominates 35 percent of market,\u201d he said. The number of employees also increased significantly. The system which is known as real estate network marketing is similar to multilevel marketing.<\/p>\n
