The Jakarta Highways Agency (Dinas Bina Marga DKI Jakarta) has\nrecorded that the progress of the rearrangement of the eastern side of\nJalan HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, has exceeded 50 per cent.\n\u201cCurrently, the progress of the rearrangement of the eastern side of\nJalan HR Rasuna Said has reached more than 60 per cent,\u201d stated the Head\nof the Data and Information Centre of Jakarta Highways, Siti Dinar\nWenny, as reported by Antara on Monday (18\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n
Siti stated that the Jakarta Highways Agency is optimistic that the\nrearrangement of the eastern side of Jalan HR Rasuna Said can be\ncompleted before the 499th anniversary of Jakarta on 22 June 2026.\nDuring a trial of the Car Free Day (CFD) on Rasuna Said, residents were\ninvited to observe the progress of the area\u2019s redevelopment directly.\n\u201cWe are very pleased that the community has welcomed the new face of the\neastern side of Jalan HR Rasuna Said, which is planned to be a gift for\nJakarta\u2019s 499th anniversary,\u201d said Siti.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, ensured that the\nimplementation of CFD in the Jalan HR Rasuna Said area will become\neffectively enforced starting 1 June 2026. This policy is being\nimplemented once all supporting facilities in the area have been fully\nprepared by the Jakarta Provincial Government. The expansion of CFD to\nRasuna Said is part of the Jakarta Provincial Government\u2019s efforts to\nprovide healthier public spaces, improve pedestrian friendliness, and\nencourage the public to reduce motor vehicle usage on weekends.
