Programmed, an Australasian operational services provider, has deployed the Boomi Enterprise Platform to centralise vendor data management across its compliance and financial systems. The integration, implemented with partner Adaptiv, creates a single source of truth for over 18,000 active vendors, reducing manual workloads and providing near real-time visibility. The solution uses Boomi Data Hub to manage master data and automatically quarantine inconsistent records, enhancing data quality and operational decision-making.

Auckland, New Zealand–(ANTARA/Business Wire)– Boomi, the data
activation company for AI, announced today that Programmed has
transformed its vendor data management using the Boomi Enterprise
Platform. The transformation established a single source of truth across
compliance and operations, reducing manual workloads and providing near
real-time visibility throughout the vendor lifecycle.

Programmed is a provider of operational, staffing, and maintenance
services across Australasia. The company delivers facilities management,
property maintenance, training, and workforce solutions to more than
10,000 customers in key sectors including mining, government, education,
and infrastructure. Programmed operates at a scale where vendor
information is critical operational infrastructure – and because
information was scattered across business units and applications, even
minor data issues could quickly escalate into business risks. Programmed
sought greater consistency in managing over 18,000 active vendors across
its building and facilities management operations.

Without a single source of truth, vendor selection was more difficult
than necessary. Furthermore, compliance checks often had to be repeated
across different business units. To create a unified view of vendor
information across the enterprise, Programmed began developing a
centralised Vendor Management System using Rapid Global as the vendor
onboarding and compliance platform.

“We needed consistent vendor data across onboarding, compliance,
financial, and operational systems to eliminate repeated compliance
checks and conflicting records, while giving every team a near real-time
view of vendor status,” said Gary Gietzmann, Head of Procurement at
Programmed.

Programmed engaged Boomi partner Adaptiv to implement the Boomi
Enterprise Platform’s Data Hub and Integration capabilities for the
Rapid Project. Together with Rapid Global, the project provided the data
foundation and integration layer needed to connect vendor systems.

“When we evaluated Programmed’s requirements, it was clear that the
combination of Boomi’s integration and master data capabilities made it
the right choice,” said Philip Durrant, Principal Consultant at Adaptiv.
“With the platform, we could address the pressing vendor data challenges
Programmed faced. From the outset, we recognised that placing the vendor
record at the core of the solution would create a standardised, unified
foundation. This provides the basis for a scalable, connected
architecture that can grow with the business.”

Boomi Data Hub now serves as the backbone of master data management
for Programmed’s vendor records, enabling key profile
information—including compliance status, certifications, and
insurance—to be managed through a centralised golden record. With near
real-time updates across systems, teams no longer need to reconcile
mismatched records or wonder which application holds the latest
compliance status. Data Hub’s quarantine feature automatically detects
and isolates inconsistent records from upstream systems before they
propagate—providing a critical safeguard against hidden data errors in
Programmed’s day-to-day operations.

Boomi Integration has connected Programmed’s vendor lifecycle across
core systems. These include Rapid Global for onboarding and compliance
processes, Microsoft D365 F&O for ERP and financial processing, and,
downstream, a work order management platform for procurement and
operational execution.

“The result is a connected business process where supplier
information now moves between systems with far less manual re-keying,”
said Gietzmann. “Compliance and procurement teams spend less time
checking, copying, and matching data, while operational teams have a
clearer picture of supplier status, giving them greater confidence in
decision-making.”

Some of the most valuable work happens behind the scenes. The D365
Finance & Operations integration needed to coordinate master vendor
data—often with multiple instances per vendor—generating hundreds of API
calls per execution and tens of thousands during the initial load.
Adaptiv used Boomi Event Streams to decouple batch processing results so
that each vendor could be handled in its own execution. This reduced the
number of API calls per execution, simplified monitoring, and made
troubleshooting easier. The same approach was applied to other
integrations where decoupling added value.

“Boomi has given us a solid, scalable foundation for vendor data,
allowing us to move faster with greater confidence while improving
transparency, control, and efficiency across procurement processes,”
said Gietzmann. “By reducing manual workloads and improving data
quality, we are seeing clear business benefits. This also reflects the
value Adaptiv delivered as a partner, supporting both product selection
and solution design, and working alongside us to achieve practical,
sustainable outcomes.”
",
