        "content": "<p>South Tangerang, VIVA \u2013 The South Tangerage City Government (Tangsel)\nofficially launched the GPS Digital Academy &amp; Innovation Center on\nSaturday, 29 August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The launch, centred at the Al-Kautsar Grand Mosque, Vila Dago\nPamulang, Benda Baru Village, marks a new chapter in strategic\ncollaboration between the local government, higher education\ninstitutions, and religious communities to accelerate digital\ntransformation through community empowerment.<\/p>\n<p>The inauguration ceremony included the signing of a Memorandum of\nUnderstanding (MoU) for the Tangsel Digital Academy programme between\nthe South Tangerang Communication and Informatics Office (Diskominfo),\nthe Forum Silaturahmi Pondok Pesantren (FSPP), and the Institute of\nTechnology and Science (ITTS).<\/p>\n<p>The Head of Diskominfo Tangsel, TB Asep Nurdin, stated that the GPS\nDigital Academy programme is a strategic initiative by Diskominfo to\nexpand digital literacy access for the younger generation.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the programme represents the synergy of three\nessential elements of regional development: the government (umara),\nreligious leaders (ulama), and the community (ummat).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe South Tangerang City Government, through Diskominfo, initiated\nthis programme to address the need for digital talent grounded in\nreligious values,\u201d said Asep in a press release, quoted on Friday, 4\nSeptember 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the presence of this innovation centre is expected to\nserve as an inclusive platform for young people to master modern\ntechnology. The GPS Digital Academy &amp; Innovation Center is designed\nas an incubator for practical skills in the era of information\ndisruption.<\/p>\n<p>The first cohort of the programme\u2019s training has been underway since\n15 August 2026, involving 62 participants from various backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cParticipants are divided into two specialised skill classes: digital\ncontent and fundamental web programming, integrated directly with the\nuse of artificial intelligence,\u201d said Asep.<\/p>\n<p>This curriculum, Asep noted, is prepared to ensure participants can\nadapt to the rapidly changing needs of the digital industry.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative from Diskominfo also involves various key community\nfigures, including the Chairman of the South Tangerang Dawn Warrior\nMovement (GPS) Ustaz Moh. Sartono, the Chairman of the Al-Kautsar\nFoundation Ustaz Juni Sukasmono, and the Chairman of the Al-Kautsar\nMosque Prosperity Council (DKM) Ustaz B. Widhadi.<\/p>\n<p>The event was also attended by members of the Regional Leadership\nCoordination Forum (Forkopimda), heads of Regional Apparatus\nOrganisations (OPD), sub-district heads, community leaders, as well as\nparents and training participants.<\/p>",
