Jakarta - PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL), known as Mitratel,
has again posted a solid performance for the first half of 2026. The
company recorded sustainable profit growth while strengthening its
business fundamentals through disciplined financial management,
increased efficiency, and an accelerated transformation towards becoming
a Next-Gen Tower Company that delivers integrated digital infrastructure
solutions to support Indonesia’s digital transformation. Throughout the
first half of 2026, Mitratel recorded revenue of Rp4.69 trillion, an
increase of 2.1% compared to the same period the previous year. This
performance drove net profit up 1.5% to Rp1.11 trillion. The tower
leasing business remained the main contributor with revenue of Rp3.83
trillion, whilst the fibre optic business continued to show strong
growth with revenue reaching Rp309 billion. Amidst the dynamics of the
telecommunications industry, this achievement reflects the resilience of
Mitratel’s business model, supported by recurring revenue, a quality
asset portfolio, and the increasing contribution of digital businesses.
The achievement reflects Mitratel’s success in implementing the
strategic direction of Danantara Indonesia and the Telkom Group, which
focuses on strengthening fundamentals, increasing efficiency, optimising
asset management, and creating long-term value for all shareholders and
stakeholders. In line with this strategy, Mitratel continues to
accelerate its transformation towards a Next-Gen Tower Company by
expanding its business capabilities from a tower infrastructure provider
to an integrated digital infrastructure solutions provider. As part of
the strategy implementation, the company continues to strengthen
financial management discipline through optimising its funding
structure, digitalising business processes, and increasing operational
efficiency. These efforts successfully reduced funding expenses by 15.1%
to Rp483.47 billion, thereby strengthening profitability and increasing
financial flexibility to support sustainable business expansion. Kiwoom
Sekuritas analyst Abdul Azis assessed that the reduction in funding
expenses demonstrates Mitratel’s ability to optimally manage its
financing structure amidst the capital-intensive characteristics of the
infrastructure business. “Profit growth accompanied by a reduction in
funding expenses shows that Mitratel’s fundamentals remain intact. This
efficiency provides greater room for the company to fund expansion,
strengthen competitiveness, and develop new sources of growth in the
future,” Azis said. The quality of Mitratel’s performance is also
reflected in net cash flow from operating activities of Rp4.63 trillion,
demonstrating the company’s ability to generate strong operational cash
flow. This provides financial flexibility to continue making strategic
investments while maintaining liquidity. As of the end of June 2026,
cash and cash equivalents increased to Rp1.34 trillion, strengthening
the company’s capacity to support long-term growth. In line with the
transformation strategy, Mitratel continues to expand the contribution
of businesses beyond tower leasing. Construction services revenue
increased by 17.6% to Rp298.63 billion, driven by growth in Fiber Optic
Solution, Technical Service Assistance, Managed Service, Mechanical
Electrical Solution services, building permit processing, and various
other digital infrastructure solutions. The company also holds non-tower
leasing contracts worth approximately Rp567.27 billion, which are
expected to be realised within the next year, providing stronger revenue
visibility while reinforcing Mitratel’s transformation towards a
Next-Gen Tower Company. President Director of PT Dayamitra
Telekomunikasi Tbk, Theodorus Ardi Hartoko, stated that the
transformation towards a Next-Gen Tower Company is a strategic step for
the company to strengthen competitiveness while creating new sustainable
sources of growth. “In line with the strategic direction and
transformation of Danantara Indonesia and the Telkom Group, we continue
to strengthen our business fundamentals through financial discipline,
asset portfolio optimisation, and the development of increasingly
integrated digital infrastructure. The transformation towards a Next-Gen
Tower Company enables Mitratel to deliver more comprehensive solutions
for customers, expand growth opportunities, and support the acceleration
of Indonesia’s digital transformation. With an increasingly strong
foundation, we are optimistic about continuing to create sustainable
long-term value for all shareholders and stakeholders,” he said.
Operationally, Mitratel continues to solidify its leadership as the
largest telecommunications infrastructure company in Indonesia. As of
the end of June 2026, the company managed 40,563 telecommunication
towers, an increase of 2% compared to the previous year. The number of
colocations increased by 10.3% to 23,303, driving an increase in the
tenancy ratio from 1.53x to 1.57x. On the fibre optic infrastructure
side, the company’s network has reached 59,239 kilometres, an increase
of 8.8%, with billable fibre reaching 74,779 kilometres, growing 13.9%
year-on-year. This achievement further strengthens Mitratel’s position
as a digital infrastructure provider supporting equitable connectivity
throughout Indonesia. Going forward, Mitratel will continue to
accelerate its transformation towards a Next-Gen Tower Company through
tower portfolio optimisation, accelerated fibre optic network
development, integrated digital infrastructure solution development, and
the use of technology to improve efficiency and service quality. With
increasingly strong fundamentals, maintained financial discipline, and
the support of the strategic direction of Danantara Indonesia and the
Telkom Group, the company is optimistic about strengthening its
leadership.
",
