        "content": "<p>President Prabowo Subianto will inaugurate the candidate for\nConstitutional Court justice to replace Anwar Usman this week. This plan\nwas conveyed by State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi. According to Prasetyo,\nthe Presidential Palace has received the names of the Constitutional\nCourt justice candidates from the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is planned as soon as possible this week,\u201d he said in response to\nthe inauguration of the MK justice replacing Anwar Usman, at the\nPresidential Palace complex in Jakarta, on Wednesday, 8 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Prasetyo has not yet revealed who the Constitutional\nCourt justice figure will be to replace the brother-in-law of the\nseventh president, Joko Widodo. \u201cIt will be announced later,\u201d he\nstated.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the Supreme Court had announced three names of candidates\nfor MK justice to replace Anwar Usman, who retired on 6 April 2026. The\nthree names are contained in Announcement Letter Number\n46\/WKMA.YKP1.1\/III\/2026 regarding the Results of the Open Selection for\nConstitutional Court Justice Candidates from the Supreme Court RI\nElement for the 2026 Fiscal Year, signed by the Deputy Chief Justice of\nthe Supreme Court for Judicial Affairs and Selection Committee Chairman,\nSuharto, on 9 March 2026 in Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>The three candidates who passed are Fahmiron, Liliek Prisbawono Adi,\nand Marsudin Nainggolan. Here are their brief profiles:<\/p>\n<p>Fahmiron<\/p>\n<p>When selected as a candidate for MK justice proposed by the MA,\nFahmiron was the Chief Judge of the Denpasar High Court. Previously, he\nhad served as Chairman of the Tangerang District Court until he was\ntransferred to Denpasar in May 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to being a high court judge, Fahmiron is recorded as a\nlecturer at Ekasakti University. According to the university\u2019s website,\nFahmiron obtained a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Law from Andalas University in\n1991. He then continued with a Master\u2019s in Humanities at Ekasakti\nUniversity and graduated in November 2026. In 2016, he earned a\nDoctorate in Law from Andalas University.<\/p>\n<p>Liliek Prisbawono Adi<\/p>\n<p>The second candidate selected by the MA is Liliek Prisbawono Adi.\nCurrently, Liliek has served as a high court judge at the Medan High\nCourt since 19 April 2024. Quoted from the Medan High Court website,\nLiliek has a long track record in the general judiciary environment.<\/p>\n<p>Before serving as a high court judge at the Medan High Court, Liliek\nhad served as Chairman of the Balikpapan District Court. After that, he\nwas appointed as Deputy Chairman of the South Jakarta District Court,\nbefore being inaugurated as Chairman of the Class 1A Special Central\nJakarta District Court in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Marsudin Nainggolan<\/p>\n<p>Marsudin Nainggolan is the Chief Judge of the North Kalimantan High\nCourt. According to the official website of the North Kalimantan High\nCourt, Marsudin is recorded as a civil servant (PNS) with the rank of\nSenior Administrator or IV\/e.<\/p>\n<p>Marsudin obtained a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Law from North Sumatra\nUniversity in 1986. He then continued with an S-2 in the same major at\nthe IBLAM Higher School of Law in 2021, and earned a Doctorate in Law\nfrom Jayabaya University in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Marsudin began his career in the judiciary as Staff at the Bekasi\nDistrict Court in 1989. He was then appointed as a First-Level Judge at\nthe Curup District Court in 1992, then transferred to the Lubuk Linggau\nDistrict Court in 1998.<\/p>\n<p>In 2007, Marsudin was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Kuala\nKapuas District Court, before rising to become Chairman of the Kuala\nKapuas District Court in the same year.<\/p>\n<p>After that, Marsudin\u2019s career continued to rise by holding leadership\npositions in courts in several regions, including Deputy Chairman of the\nBogor District Court in 2013, Chairman of the Karawang District Court in\n2014, Deputy Chairman of the Medan District Court in 2015, and Chairman\nof the Pekanbaru District Court in 2016. Subsequently, he was assigned\nas a Judicial Judge at the Directorate General of the General\nJudiciary.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, he was inaugurated as a high court judge at the Denpasar\nHigh Court, then became a high court judge at the Jakarta High Court in\n2022, and continued as Deputy Chairman of the Palangkaraya High Court in\n2023. Then in 2025, he was assigned as Deputy Chairman of the Surabaya\nHigh Court before finally being appointed as Chief Judge of the North\nKalimantan High Court in the same year.<\/p>\n<p>Marsudin was once implicated in an alleged bribery case while serving\nas Chairman of the Medan District Court in 2018. Marsudin, along with\nhis deputy Wahyu Prasetyo Wibowo and several other Medan District Court\nofficials, were caught in a sting operation (OTT) by the Corruption\nEradication Commission (KPK) on 28 August 2018.<\/p>\n<p>However, shortly afterwards, the KPK released Marsudin and Wahyu due\nto insufficient evidence to designate them as suspects. Meanwhile, the\nad hoc Corruption Criminal Judge at the Medan District Court, Merry\nPurba, Medan District Court Judge Sontan Merauke, and two substitute\nclerks, Oloan Sirait and Elpandi, who were caught in the OTT with\nMarsudin, were designated by the KPK as suspects in the bribery case at\nthe Medan District Court.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court (MA) then rehabilitated the reputations of Marsudin\nand Wahyu Prasetyo Wibowo. Both received promotion transfers. Marsudin\nbecame a high court judge in Denpasar, while Wahyu was assigned as\nChairman of the Serang District Court.<\/p>",
