        "content": "<p>PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara (Persero) has recently conducted the\nimportation of thousands of vehicles from India in operations that have\nlargely escaped public attention until now, surprising many observers\ngiven the scale of the state-owned enterprise\u2019s activity.<\/p>\n<p>Agrinas is importing 105,000 vehicles from India to support\noperations of the Koperasi Desa\/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP), the Red\nand White Village Cooperative network. The import arrangement comprises\n35,000 four-wheel-drive pick-up units from Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Ltd\n(M&amp;M), along with 35,000 four-wheel-drive pick-ups and 35,000\nsix-wheel trucks from Tata Motors.<\/p>\n<p>The contract value for the Indian vehicle procurement totals Rp 24.66\ntrillion. The subsidiary of Danantara has already paid a 30 per cent\ndown payment, equalling Rp 7.39 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>Agrinas Pangan Nusantara represents a newly formed state-owned\nenterprise established to advance President Prabowo\u2019s ambitious vision\nfor strengthening national food sovereignty. The company\u2019s establishment\ncoincided with the creation of two other food-sector state-owned\nenterprises, all three formally constituted by the government in\nFebruary 2025 through Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises Decree Number\nS-63\/MBU\/02\/2025.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, which resulted from the rebranding\nof Yodya Karya, the government established Agrinas Jaladri Nusantara\n(formerly Virama Karya) to manage the fisheries sector, as well as\nAgrinas Palma Nusantara (former Indra Karya), tasked with overseeing\npalm oil operations.<\/p>\n<p>Agrinas Pangan Nusantara specifically bears responsibility for\nmanaging the entire food production supply chain comprehensively. Its\nremit encompasses new land development, planting and cultivation\nprocesses, through to harvest stages.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the state-owned enterprise ecosystem, Agrinas Pangan\nNusantara operates under the coordination of Danantara, the holding\ncompany overseeing hundreds of state-owned enterprises across various\nstrategic sectors.<\/p>\n<p>To support initial operations, the government has injected assets\ncomprising 425,000 hectares of rice fields derived from food estate\nprojects distributed across several regions on the island of\nKalimantan.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding liquidity, the company will receive financial support\nthrough capital disbursements from Danantara in its capacity as\nshareholder. This measure is intended to reinforce Agrinas Pangan\nNusantara\u2019s role in maintaining and securing national food resilience\nand sovereignty.<\/p>",
