Jakarta, VIVA \u2013 Ahmad Luthfi H. Rahmatullah, head of the Central Java\nrepresentative office of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), was arrested by\nthe Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in a sting operation in\nKlaten, Central Java, in October 2026. He is suspected of involvement in\na case related to the awarding of an unqualified opinion (WTP) on the\nKlaten Regency Government\u2019s financial statements.<\/p>\n
KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo confirmed Ahmad Luthfi\u2019s arrest on\nThursday, 15 October 2026. Budi said two BPK civil servants had been\ndetained in the operation, including the official serving as head of the\nCentral Java representative office.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne of them is indeed the head of the [BPK] Central Java\nrepresentative office,\u201d Budi said, as quoted by Antara on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The case has also implicated Klaten Regent Hamenang Wajar Ismoyo,\nwhom the KPK had previously suspected of receiving bribes related to\nprocurement projects, permits and other receipts.<\/p>\n
In the case involving Ahmad Luthfi, he is suspected of communicating\nwith Hamenang about awarding an unqualified opinion on the local\ngovernment\u2019s financial statements. Ahmad Luthfi allegedly offered the\nrating in exchange for Rp1.3 billion.<\/p>\n
Ahmad Luthfi H. Rahmatullah is a bureaucrat who has built a long\ncareer at BPK. According to information about his education, he\ngraduated from the State College of Accountancy (STAN) in 1989 with a\nDiploma III in Accounting.<\/p>\n
After completing his studies, Ahmad Luthfi began his career at BPK.\nHis decades of experience at the state financial audit institution\nformed part of his career path to heading representative offices in\nseveral provinces.<\/p>\n
He later continued his studies at Padjadjaran University. Ahmad\nLuthfi earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting in 1999, followed by a\nmaster\u2019s degree in Law in 2011.<\/p>\n
His academic background in accounting and law complemented his\nprofessional career at an institution responsible for auditing the\nmanagement and accountability of state finances.<\/p>\n
