Prison escapee recaptured<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Two days after fleeing Cipinang Prison in East
\nJakarta, defendant Farhat Ferdian Baihaki, 26, was arrested by
\nthe Jakarta Police on Thursday night, police said on Friday.<\/p>\n
"The police found him hiding in a house belonging to his
\ngirlfriend's parents in Tambun, Bekasi," Jakarta Police spokesman
\nSr. Comr. Tjiptono said on Friday.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, he said, Chief Brig. Piping Firdaus, 25, from the
\nJakarta Police department, who helped Farhat escape on Wednesday
\nwas being questioned by internal affairs officers.<\/p>\n
Piping, who became acquainted with Farhat when the latter was
\nat the Jakarta Police detention center as a suspect, visited
\nFarhat on Wednesday at Cipinang.<\/p>\n
The defendant took Piping's visiting card and escaped from the
\nprison after he showed the card to the guards.<\/p>\n
The prison guards later realized that one of the prisoners was
\ngone and Piping must have helped him.<\/p>\n
