Jakarta, VIVA \u2013 From the roster of the newly appointed Board of\nSupervisors and Board of Directors of BPJS Kesehatan for the 2026\u20132031\nterm, Prihati Pujowaskito has been selected by President Prabowo\nSubianto as President Director of the public body responsible for\nproviding national health insurance.<\/p>\n
Born in Solo on 29 March 1967, Prihati has been immersed in the\nmedical field since a young age. He initially studied medicine at\nSebelas Maret University, graduating in 1991, before completing a\nmaster\u2019s degree at Airlangga University in 2007.<\/p>\n
He subsequently obtained a second master\u2019s degree in Hospital\nManagement from the Gotong Royong School of Economics, graduating in\n2015, and then pursued a law degree at Borobudur University, completing\nit in 2022.<\/p>\n
To deepen his expertise, he also undertook seven months of\ninterventional cardiology training in 2024.<\/p>\n
Prihati\u2019s career in healthcare began as a Medical Officer with a\nKopassus Battalion, a role he held from May 1995 to July 2002. Beyond\nclinical practice, he also ventured into academia as a lecturer.<\/p>\n
He served as Dean of the Faculty of Military Medicine at the Defence\nUniversity from 2023 to 2025, and has been active as a Lecturer in\nCardiac Disease at the same institution since August 2023.<\/p>\n
In the academic sphere, he has served as a Lecturer in Internal\nMedicine at Jenderal Ahmad Yani University since January 2008 to the\npresent.<\/p>\n
Since June 2019, he has been entrusted as a member of the\nPresidential Medical Expert Panel of the Republic of Indonesia.<\/p>\n
In clinical practice, he has held the position of Consultant\nInterventional Coronary Cardiologist at RSPAD Gatot Soebroto since\nAugust 2018.<\/p>\n
He then served as Director of Medical Support Services at RSPAD Gatot\nSoebroto from July 2021 to June 2023, having previously led as Head of\nthe Cardiology Department at the same hospital from August 2018 to June\n2021.<\/p>\n
Prior to his posting at RSPAD Gatot Soebroto, he served as Head of\nthe Cardiology Department at RSAD Dustira from July 2014 to July 2018,\nand before that as Head of the Internal Medicine Department at RSAD\nDustira from February 2011 to June 2014.<\/p>\n
He also served as Head of the Cardiology Sub-Department at RSAD\nDustira from April 2007 to March 2011.<\/p>\n
