        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Regional Operations 1\nJakarta has recorded sustained growth in long-distance train ticket\nsales for the 2026 Eid holiday travel season (11 March to 1 April). As\nof 8 March 2026, 625,231 tickets had been sold or booked from a total of\n1,076,196 available seats departing from Gambir and Pasar Senen\nstations.<\/p>\n<p>With this performance, seat occupancy has reached 58% temporarily,\nwith 423,965 seats still available for passengers undertaking travel\nduring the mudik and return journey periods.<\/p>\n<p>KAI Regional Operations 1 Jakarta\u2019s public relations manager, Franoto\nWibowo, stated that the departure period of 11\u201320 March 2026 recorded\nthe highest sales period, with 422,274 tickets sold. The peak sales\ndates included 18 March with 49,057 tickets sold, followed by 19 March\nwith 48,291 tickets, 17 March with 47,986 tickets, and 16 March with\n47,217 tickets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn these popular dates, remaining seat availability is highly\nlimited and approaching full capacity. For example, on 18 March only\n2,435 seats remained, then 20 March with 2,708 seats, and 19 March with\n2,998 seats,\u201d Franoto explained.<\/p>\n<p>Based on service class, current seat availability includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><p>Executive: total capacity 510,527 seats, 268,587\nremaining<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Commercial Economy: total capacity 446,965 seats, 144,227\nremaining<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>PSO Economy: total capacity 118,704 seats, 38,142\nremaining<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By travel period, departures on 11\u201320 March had only 81,797 remaining\nseats, whilst 21\u201322 March had 22,429 seats available. For departures\nfrom 23 March to 1 April, 364,730 tickets remained available.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond providing substantial travel capacity, KAI is also introducing\nattractive fare promotional programmes to support public mobility during\nthe holiday season. Through the Mudik Promotion scheme, passengers can\nobtain discounts of up to 30% on ticket purchases on 9 March 2026 for\ntravel periods of 9\u201320 March 2026, subject to applicable terms and\nconditions.<\/p>\n<p>KAI is also offering a flash sale accessible via the Access by KAI\nmobile application on 9 March 2026 from 16:30 to 17:30 WIB, with special\nfares including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><p>Panoramic starting from Rp600,000<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Executive starting from Rp300,000<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Economy starting from Rp150,000<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Flash sale fares apply to departures from 9\u201320 March 2026 with\nlimited quota. Additionally, the government is providing economic\nstimulus in the form of 30% transport discounts on commercial economy\nclass train tickets for the period 14\u201329 March 2026. Nationally,\napproximately 1.2 million seats have been prepared, whilst Regional\nOperations 1 Jakarta specifically has 329,000 seats available, with\napproximately 77,000 seats remaining for public use.<\/p>\n<p>During the 2026 Eid holiday travel season, KAI Regional Operations 1\nJakarta is operating an average of 68 regular long-distance train\nservices daily, supplemented by 12 additional services from Gambir\nStation, 7 additional services from Pasar Senen Station, and 4 free\nmotor train services.
