Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim has prepared solutions to reinforce
access to Saleh Danasasmita Road in Batutulis, Bogor City, West Java.
The road strengthening is being carried out due to landslide risks. He
stated that the Saleh Danasasmita Road access was constructed by the
Railway Engineering Bureau and has communicated with the Director
General of Railways. ‘We have already constructed a new Batutulis route,
and I have requested the reinforcement of the TPT Underpass as well,’
Dedie said on Padi Street, Bogor City, Monday, 1 June 2026. When the new
Batutulis Road route is inaugurated next November, it is hoped there
will be no more risks for residents using the road. ‘For that, we will
re-green the area. We’ll create a forest. Then there will be
measurements, calculations, civil engineers, and architects involved,’
he said. ‘They will determine the safe and risky zones. But the main
point is we will re-green it to reduce the load,’ he added. ‘But of
course, if people just want to view Mount Salak, it shouldn’t be too
heavy. Hopefully, after normalization and re-greening, Insya Allah it
will be stronger,’ he said. Previously, residents often gathered on
Saleh Danasasmita Road in Batutulis to enjoy the ‘City Light’ view at
night. However, the road access was closed due to landslide risks.
Residents parking in the area leave their vehicles on the left shoulder
of Batutulis Road, Bogor City.
",
