        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 The National Border Management Agency (BNPP RI) organised\nan Integrated Government Internal Control System (SPIP) Strengthening\nForum within the BNPP RI Permanent Secretariat in Jakarta on Monday, 18\nMay 2026. This forum is a strategic step by BNPP RI to strengthen\norganisational governance, enhance risk management, and promote\neffectiveness in anti-corruption measures, particularly in border area\nmanagement and Border Crossing Posts (PLBN). The forum was officially\nopened by Budi Setyono, Head of the BNPP RI Planning and Cooperation\nBureau, representing the BNPP RI Secretary. The event was attended by\nBNPP officials, representatives of the Badan Pengawasan Keuangan dan\nPembangunan (BPKP), Lembaga Kebijakan Pengadaan Barang\/Jasa Pemerintah\n(LKPP), the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Inspectorate\nGeneral of the Ministry of Home Affairs, and cross-sector agencies\noperating in border areas. In his remarks, Budi Setyono stressed that\nstrengthening the Integrated SPIP is a vital foundation in supporting\nbureaucratic reform and realising professional, integrity-driven\nmanagement of the nation\u2019s borders. He said BNPP RI\u2019s achievement of an\nUnqualified Opinion (WTP) for eleven consecutive years should be matched\nby ongoing strengthening of internal controls. Internal control is not\nonly the responsibility of leadership or supervisory staff, but the\nobligation of all employees. We must be able to prepare mitigation,\nanticipation, and organisational response steps to potential violations,\nnot to seek fault, but to build a healthy, professional, and\nintegrity-driven culture of work, said Budi. He also revealed that the\n2025 Integrated SPIP maturity evaluation indicates there is still a need\nfor improvement, particularly in risk management and the effectiveness\nof anti-corruption controls. Based on the evaluation, BNPP\u2019s SPIP\nmaturity index was recorded at 2.947, the risk management index at\n2.802, and the anti-corruption control effectiveness index at 2.562.<\/p>",
