President's official car park?<\/p>\n

On Nov. 15, I parked my car outside of Klub Bimasena
\n(health\/sports center) in South Jakarta, near the gate of the
\nclub, which shares the same complex with Hotel Dharmawangsa.<\/p>\n
When I left my car near the entrance, club security men told
\nme to move my car to the parking lot at the rear of the building,
\nbecause the car park near the gate was reserved for the
\npresident, vice president and ambassadors.<\/p>\n
As there was no sign indicating reserved parking, I asked the
\nsecurity officers to make a written statement that the space was
\nespecially meant for the top authorities and envoys. They took me
\nto see the manager on duty, who said the policy involved
\nsecurity, without elaborating.<\/p>\n
I insisted that a clear answer be given and after waiting for
\nabout half an hour, the manager called me to say that pending the
\nreply, I still had to move my car to another parking area of the
\nclub.<\/p>\n
So far, I have not yet received any written statement from
\nBimasena that the car park is officially reserved for the
\npresident, vice president and envoys. To preserve the good image
\nof the president, I hope presidential palace authorities will
\nclarify the matter.<\/p>\n
