Ponorogo, East Java \u2014 President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to\nattend the thanksgiving reception for the 100th anniversary of Pondok\nModern Darussalam Gontor in Ponorogo, East Java, on Saturday, as a\ndemonstration of state support for the development of pesantren-based\neducation and human resources.<\/p>\n
Prior to attending the reception, the President is scheduled to\nofficially inaugurate the Faculty of Medicine at the University of\nDarussalam (Unida) Gontor, located within the university campus\ncomplex.<\/p>\n
The President, accompanied by several ministers from the Red and\nWhite Cabinet and regional heads, is expected to arrive in East Java via\nIswahjudi Airbase in Magetan by plane, before continuing the journey by\nhelicopter to the Unida Gontor campus.<\/p>\n
Following the inauguration of the Faculty of Medicine, the President\nwill proceed to Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor to participate in a\nseries of thanksgiving ceremonies marking a century of the Islamic\neducational institution, which has been established since 1926.<\/p>\n
The Vice Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar Egypt, Mohamed Abdelrahman\nEldeweny, is also scheduled to deliver a speech regarding the\nlong-standing educational and scientific ties between Gontor and Egypt\nthat have flourished over many decades.<\/p>\n
President Prabowo is subsequently scheduled to deliver a speech\nbefore members of the Gontor Modern Board of Waqf, teaching staff,\nstudents, alumni, and invited guests from various regions across\nIndonesia and abroad.<\/p>\n
