On Sunday, June 26, 1994, at about 2:30 p.m., I was struck by
\na speeding President Taxi, while riding a GL-Pro motorcycle at
\nlow speed at the Jl. Daan Mogot-Jl. Kedoya Raya junction. The cab
\nleft me and my badly damaged vehicle sprawled on the road and
\nsped away in the direction of Kebon Jeruk. I had no time to note
\nthe police number of the cab.<\/p>\n
When I arrived at the emergency ward of Al-Kamal Hospital in
\nKedoya, moaning with pain, I told myself that people's tales
\nabout President Taxi drivers -- such as meter tampering, hit and
\nrun accidents, armed robbery of passengers -- do indeed contain
\ngrains of truth.<\/p>\n
The PT President Taxi company must act immediately to
\ndiscipline their drivers before passengers take their punishment
\ninto their own hands.<\/p>\n
