President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subiente, will\npresent decorations and honours to several figures, units, government\ninstitutions, organisations, and individuals deemed to have rendered\nsignificant service to the nation and state.<\/p>\n
Deputy Minister of State Secretary, Juri Ardiantoro, stated during a\npress conference at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Friday\nthat the conferment of these honours will take place at the State Palace\nas part of the series of commemorations for the 81st Anniversary of the\nRepublic of Indonesia.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe decorations and honours will also be presented this year by the\nPresident of the Republic of Indonesia to individuals, units, government\ninstitutions, organisations, or specific figures for their extraordinary\nservice, achievements, devotion, and loyalty to the nation and state,\u201d\nsaid Juri.<\/p>\n
He noted that the nominees for these honours come from various\nbackgrounds and have undergone a rigorous selection process. \u201cThe\ncandidates include representatives from various sectors, such as\nacademics, religious leaders, artists, bureaucrats, and the military, as\nwell as other prominent figures,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
According to Juri, the selection process for the nominees is\nconducted strictly and transparently by the Council of Titles,\nDecorations, and Honours. The conferment of these honours is one of the\nkey agendas within the national Independence Month celebrations for\n2026.<\/p>\n
In addition to the awards, the government is preparing several other\nprogrammes throughout August 2026, designated as Independence Month.\nThese activities include the National Prayer and Dhikr on 1 August, the\nPresidential Speech on 14 August, the National Pilgrimage and Holy\nReflection on 15 August, and the ceremony commemorating the Proclamation\nand the lowering of the National Flag on 17 August.<\/p>\n
