        "content": "<p>President Prabowo Subianto has reported that efficiency measures and\nthe restructuring of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) have saved the state\nover Rp50 trillion. Speaking at the Annual Session of the People\u2019s\nConsultative Assembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the House of\nRepresentatives (DPR) and Regional Representatives Council (DPD) in\nJakarta on Friday, the President described the effort as possibly the\nlargest corporate restructuring in the world. \u201cBy streamlining the\nnumber of SOEs, we have saved approximately Rp50 trillion in overheads.\nThis comes solely from directors\u2019 salaries, commissioners\u2019 fees,\nbuilding rentals, vehicle leases, and official travel,\u201d Prabowo stated.\nHe noted that the government has already closed 290 out of 1,074\nstate-owned enterprises, retaining only those that are productive. The\nPresident confirmed that the target is to have no more than 300 SOEs by\nthe end of 2026.
