JAKARTA. President Prabowo Subianto summoned Investment and\nDownstream Industries Minister\/BKPM Head and concurrently Head of BPI\nDanantara Indonesia, Rosan Roeslani, to the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.\nThe meeting discussed a number of strategic agenda items related to the\nfuture direction of SOE investment and the strengthening of governance\nin national projects.<\/p>\n
Following the meeting, Rosan conveyed that President Prabowo had\nissued directives for all investments undertaken by Danantara to be\ncarried out with the principles of transparency and sound\naccountability. These principles are expected to be applied across all\ninvestments, from the downstream industries sector to clean energy.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe emphasis is indeed on governance, transparency, openness, and\naccountability. It was also stressed that SOEs should improve and become\ndrivers, particularly in terms of job creation. That is what was\nconveyed by the President,\u201d said Rosan at the Presidential Palace\nComplex in Jakarta on Tuesday (20\/5).<\/p>\n
Rosan added that Danantara would deploy expert teams and open\nopportunities for the involvement of specialists across various fields\nto ensure investments are conducted professionally and deliver tangible\nimpact. \u201cBecause we must also be accountable for the funds we disburse,\u201d\nhe added.<\/p>\n
Regarding Danantara\u2019s project portfolio, Rosan noted that several\nstrategic projects had undergone comprehensive due diligence processes\nand were now entering the finalisation stage. He assured that all\nprocesses had met financial, legal, administrative, and technological\nrequirements.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have already done that, so the expectation is that in the near\nfuture there will be several investments that we will undertake, and we\nwill also be transparent with the public about what investments we are\nmaking,\u201d Rosan stated.<\/p>\n
