        "content": "<p>The government I lead is determined to return to this podium in\nAugust to present a progress report on the advances achieved ahead of\nIndonesia\u2019s 81st year of independence.<\/p>\n<p>The August progress report is, as a constitutional matter, aligned\nwith the state address and the annual presentation of the Note on\nFinance and the Draft State Budget (RAPBN), traditionally held on 16\nAugust.<\/p>\n<p>In the projections of the performance report, the strengthening of\nthe people\u2019s economy through a national cooperative network is set to be\none of the main indicators the government will present.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the government notes that 1,061 units of Koperasi Merah\nPutih have been operating nationwide as the foundation for a reoriented,\npeople-based logistics system.<\/p>\n<p>The government targets a massive quantitative expansion, planning to\noperate at least 20,000 cooperative units by August, and projecting more\nthan 60,000 by year-end.<\/p>\n<p>The President emphasised that this cooperative network will function\nas the first supply chain in Indonesia directly owned by the government\nto control logistics stability and to promote welfare at the grassroots\nlevel.<\/p>\n<p>Through the integration of cooperatives at village, sub-district, and\ndistrict levels, the hundreds of trillions of rupiah that have\nhistorically flowed overseas are projected to return and remain\ndomestically.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the cooperatives, the August progress report will also\nhighlight accelerated steps the government is taking to address risks\narising from the global energy crisis through domestic downstream\ndevelopment.<\/p>\n<p>The government is currently fast-tracking the production lines for\nbiosolar fuel using crude palm oil (CPO), while refining technical\nstudies for converting palm oil into petrol.<\/p>\n<p>The national energy diversification strategy is further expanded by\nplans to process coal into solar power and gas, and by utilisation of\nagricultural waste such as corn stalks to produce cheap cooking energy\nfor households.<\/p>\n<p>In the electricity infrastructure cluster, the government is relying\non an accelerated programme to build Solar Power Plants (PLTS) with a\ncapacity target of 100 gigawatts (GW) within the next three years.<\/p>",
