Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2013 President Prabowo Subianto stated that Pancasila\nserves as a fundamental guiding principle for regulating all aspects of\nnational and state life, including the blueprint for the national\neconomic system.<\/p>\n
\u2018Pancasila is the guiding principle for regulating national life,\ncommunity life, state life, including how we build our national economic\nsystem,\u2019 President Prabowo said while serving as the inspecting officer\nat the Pancasila Birth Anniversary ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign\nAffairs\u2019 Pancasila Building in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n
The President noted that the importance of Pancasila in the modern\nera must be reflected through honest assessment of domestic economic\ngrowth over recent decades, which has been uneven and not fairly felt by\nall citizens.<\/p>\n
On the religious and humanitarian aspects of the economy, he said\nIndonesia\u2019s abundant natural wealth is not merely commercial commodities\nbut a trust that must be managed responsibly for the greatest prosperity\nof the people and future generations.<\/p>\n
President Prabowo emphasised that the egalitarian and people-centric\nPancasila economic blueprint draws from the founders\u2019 design clearly\noutlined in Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution. He stated that the\nconstitutional mandate requires strengthening cooperatives and small and\nmedium enterprises to lift people out of poverty.<\/p>\n
\u2018Cooperatives must be strengthened, cooperatives must rise; they are\none of the tools to lift our people from poverty and helplessness. Small\nand medium enterprises must be bolstered, and villages must become\ncentres of new economic growth,\u2019 the Head of State said.<\/p>\n
Further concrete implementation of the Pancasila economy includes\nstrategic transformation steps such as strengthening natural resource\ndownstreaming, implementing a single-door export policy, strengthening\nforeign exchange management from exports, and running a free nutritious\nmeal programme to build healthy and intelligent generations.<\/p>\n
\u2018As our founders and proclamator Bung Karno once advised us, we must\nhave the courage to stand on our own feet; that is the essence of a\nsovereign nation,\u2019 President Prabowo added.<\/p>\n
The 81st anniversary ceremony of Pancasila\u2019s birth, themed \u2018Pancasila\nas the Unifier of the Nation, Foundation of World Peace,\u2019 was attended\nby former President Megawati Soekarnoputri, who is also the Supervisor\nof the Pancasila Ideology Development Body, former Vice-President Jusuf\nKalla, former Vice-President Ma\u2019ruf Amin, and current Vice-President\nGibran Rakabuming Raka.<\/p>\n
