        "content": "<p>President Prabowo stated that the ITU ranked Indonesia first out of\n122 countries in the e-government and education digitalization\ncategories.<\/p>\n<p>This, he added, serves as proof that Indonesia\u2019s education\ndigitalization push is increasingly recognized on the global stage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe International Telecommunication Union has given its highest\naward to Indonesia out of 122 countries in the e-government and\neducation digitalization categories,\u201d Prabowo said during a plenary\ncabinet meeting at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The recognition President Prabowo referred to was the World Summit on\nthe Information Society (WSIS) Prizes, which took place on July 9,\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia, represented by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary\nEducation, won first place in the e-government category with its \u201cRumah\nPendidikan\u201d (House of Education) program.<\/p>\n<p>Rumah Pendidikan is an application that provides various educational\nservices on a single platform.<\/p>\n<p>Through the app, students can access learning materials, while\nteachers can collaborate and share ideas with fellow educators.<\/p>\n<p>President Prabowo noted that the application, which currently has 6.9\nmillion users, is highly beneficial, giving students access to 4,843\nfree learning materials and supporting teachers in underdeveloped,\nfrontier, and outermost regions.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the recognition, he underscored that Indonesia still has a\nlong way to go in improving the quality and equity of its national\neducation system.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the government remains committed to accelerating its\neducation digitalization efforts to ensure communities in remote areas\nhave access to quality education.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, the president stated that the government will\ndistribute 700,000 interactive flat panels (IFPs) by the end of 2026 or\nthe first half of 2027, thereby adding three more IFPs to each\nschool.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative is expected to provide Indonesian children and\nteachers with the opportunity to learn with the best educational\nresources.<\/p>\n<p>Related news: Indonesia to launch Integrated National Schools at 17\nlocations<\/p>\n<p>Translator: Maria Cicilia, Raka Adji<\/p>",
