        "content": "<p>Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has responded to a viral video showing\nbuskers aboard a JakLingko vehicle in East Jakarta. He said busking is\nnot allowed on public transport and that anyone found doing so must be\ndealt with.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBuskers are already prohibited from boarding public transport. So if\nthere are still any, they must be removed,\u201d Pramono said in the Pasar\nMinggu area of South Jakarta on Tuesday (13 October 2026).<\/p>\n<p>Pramono said the Jakarta provincial government supported enforcement\nto maintain public order and residents\u2019 comfort in the capital. This\nsupport applied not only to buskers on public transport, but also to\nother enforcement activities carried out by officers in the field.<\/p>\n<p>He said public order was important to the management of Jakarta and\ncalled for the rules to be upheld.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Jakarta provincial government fully supports matters relating to\nenforcement in Jakarta; in this case, I, as governor, give it my\nsupport,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Pramono nevertheless stressed that enforcement should prioritise\ndialogue and deliberation when problems arise between officers and\nmembers of the public.<\/p>\n<p>Passengers using the JakLingko service in the Kampung Melayu area of\nEast Jakarta had previously complained of being disturbed by buskers\naboard a vehicle. The video went viral on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Footage posted on social media and viewed by detikcom on Friday (2\nOctober) showed several buskers boarding a JakLingko vehicle in Kampung\nMelayu and singing inside it.<\/p>",
