Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has asked the East Jakarta City\nAdministration to carry out improvements in the Kramat Jati Market\narea.<\/p>\n
The request came after the death of student Hammamshidqi Hammamut\n(18), who was a victim of a traffic accident.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have instructed the East Jakarta Mayor\u2019s staff to immediately\ncarry out improvements and prevention so that fish traders\u2019 activities\ndo not encroach on the road,\u201d Pramono said at the Jakarta International\nVelodrome, East Jakarta, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
He said the accident occurred after the road surface became slippery\ndue to water from fish traders\u2019 activities around the market area.<\/p>\n
The wet road conditions are believed to have caused the motorcycle\nridden by the victim to skid, after which the victim was run over by a\ngarbage truck belonging to the Jakarta Environmental Agency.<\/p>\n
\u201cInnalillahi wa Inna ilaihi rajiun. I extend my deepest condolences\non the passing of the late Hammamshidqi Hammamut,\u201d Pramono said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are very concerned and must improve immediately so that such an\nincident does not happen again,\u201d Pramono said.<\/p>\n
He also asked the Civil Service Police Unit and the Jakarta Transport\nAgency to be involved in handling the area.<\/p>\n
\u201cSatpol PP and the Transport Agency must also work together to\nmaintain order and safety at the location. Most importantly, the road\nmust be safe and comfortable for all users, and potential causes of\naccidents must be prevented from the outset,\u201d Pramono said.<\/p>\n
He expressed hope that a similar incident would not recur, and that\nissues of cleanliness, trading activity and road surface conditions in\nthe area must be handled in an integrated manner so as not to pose risks\nto the public.<\/p>\n

HH died after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in an\naccident with a dump truck.<\/p>\n
The accident involved a Honda Beat motorcycle with registration\nnumber B 3122 SDL and a Sanitation Agency dump truck with registration\nnumber B 9728 TOQ.<\/p>\n
The victim was initially riding the motorcycle from north to south on\nJalan Raya Bogor. Upon arriving in front of Rumah Makan Kuring, the\nvictim is believed to have had an accident due to slippery road\nconditions and fell to the right.<\/p>\n
At the same time, a dump truck driven by AS was passing the scene and\nthe victim was run over on the head or neck by the truck\u2019s rear left\nwheel.<\/p>\n
As a result of the accident, the victim suffered severe injuries and\ndied at the scene.
