        "content": "<p>Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has emphasised that the decrease in\nthe Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) proposed by the\nJakarta Provincial Government will not diminish the quality of\ndevelopment in the Indonesian capital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am confident that with the available APBD, the quality of\ndevelopment in Jakarta will certainly not be reduced,\u201d Pramono stated in\nCentral Jakarta on Wednesday (2\/9).<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the Jakarta APBD has been drafted with caution,\nincluding mature planning for creative financing efforts. \u201cI have\nconveyed to the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD), who are\nconducting discussions with the Jakarta DPRD, that it is better for us\nto have an APBD that is prudent and careful, yet executable,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is not about having a large figure that cannot be implemented\neffectively,\u201d Pramono added.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the Jakarta Provincial Government submitted the Draft\nRegional Regulation (Ranperda) regarding the 2026 Budget Amendment on\nMonday (31\/8).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe total planned amendment for the 2026 APBD is 79.59 trillion\nrupiah, a decrease of 2.13 per cent compared to the 2026 Regional\nRevenue and Expenditure Budget of 81.32 trillion rupiah,\u201d stated Jakarta\nDeputy Governor Rano Karno during the Jakarta Provincial DPRD Plenary\nSession last Monday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the official Jakarta Provincial Government portal, this\namendment includes a 2.93 per cent decrease in regional revenue, falling\nfrom Rp71.45 trillion to Rp69.36 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, regional expenditure is planned to increase by 1.08 per\ncent, from Rp74.28 trillion to Rp75.08 trillion. The Provincial\nGovernment will direct this expenditure towards fulfilling the Regional\nMedium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD), quick-win programmes, basic\nservices, productive spending, and community assistance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegional expenditure is intended to allocate budget to sectors that\ndirectly touch the interests of the community, including mandatory\naffairs related to basic services, guided by Minimum Service Standards,\u201d\nRano explained.<\/p>",
