        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2013 Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said the capital\u2019s\nspecial Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) programme would\nwork in cooperation with the national LPDP, although its funding would\ncome from Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe LPDP will work with the national LPDP. I will ask the Finance\nMinistry for a meeting so that we can coordinate with the central\ngovernment,\u201d Pramono said in Jakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing an overseas\nscholarship programme for 50 to 75 students from Jakarta in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe funding will come from Jakarta and has already been included in\nthe regional budget (APBD), for 50 to 75 prospective students, with a\nbudget of Rp100 billion. Hopefully, it can begin operating next year,\u201d\nPramono said.<\/p>\n<p>He said support for education needed to be expanded so that learning\nopportunities were not determined solely by a family\u2019s financial\nmeans.<\/p>\n<p>This underpins efforts to strengthen the various education assistance\nprogrammes already running or being prepared by the Jakarta Provincial\nGovernment.<\/p>\n<p>Pramono said education, healthcare services and social protection\nshould continue to be strengthened in tandem.<\/p>\n<p>Through these policies, the Jakarta Provincial Government aims to\nsustain basic services while expanding people\u2019s opportunities to improve\ntheir quality of life.<\/p>",
