        "content": "<p>Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has expressed optimism that the\ncapital will remain safe and comfortable throughout August 2026. He\ncalled on all elements of society to work together to maintain a\nconducive atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>The confidence was conveyed when asked about the Jakarta Provincial\nGovernment\u2019s efforts to maintain security in the capital, including\nafter the policy of removing high perimeter fences at several shopping\ncentres. Pramono did not elaborate on the process of removing the\nfences.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018What is clear is that to ensure Jakarta remains safe, comfortable,\nand peaceful is our collective duty,\u2019 Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall\non Tuesday (4\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Pramono stated that efforts to create a sense of security are not\nsolely the government\u2019s responsibility but require the active\nparticipation of all elements of society.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Thus, what we do to make it safe and comfortable, if our hearts are\ncomfortable and safe, then surely the atmosphere will also be safe and\ncomfortable,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018And I am among those who believe Jakarta will be safe and\ncomfortable throughout this August,\u2019 he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Pramono announced plans to remove high fences at several\nshopping centres in Jakarta.
