JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, together with\nDeputy Governor Rano Karno and DKI Jakarta DPRD Chairman Khoirudin, is\nscheduled to perform Eid al-Fitr prayers in the courtyard of DKI Jakarta\nCity Hall, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (21\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n
\u201cTomorrow we will hold Eid prayers in the City Hall courtyard. Mr\nK.H. Ma\u2019ruf Amin is planned to be the imam,\u201d said Pramono when met in\nthe Hotel Indonesia roundabout area, Friday (20\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n
Pramono stated that after the Eid prayers, he would organise a\nhalalbihalal event at City Hall. Additionally, he plans to visit several\nlocations.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I might also go around to some places that I usually do. The\nsame goes for Mr DPRD Chairman later,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
On that occasion, Pramono appeared wearing a black peci and a green\nkoko shirt, while Rano Karno wore a black peci with a white top.<\/p>\n
Their presence was enthusiastically welcomed by residents who had\ncrowded the area since the afternoon.<\/p>\n
Despite being hit by heavy rain, the number of visitors continued to\nincrease until night.<\/p>\n
City lights reflecting on the wet streets added a dramatic\nimpression, while the sounds of drum beats and religious music echoed\namid the crowd.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis event is the peak of the series of Idul Mubarak celebrations in\nJakarta,\u201d said Pramono.<\/p>\n
He mentioned that the celebration was made more lively by the\npresence of 1,000 drums from 261 kelurahan in Jakarta, as well as\nrepresentatives from Banten Province and West Sumatra.<\/p>\n
In addition, the event was enlivened by a torch parade involving\naround 5,000 participants, a carnival of decorated vehicles, and a\nfountain show themed \u201cJakarta Rhythm of the Fountain\u201d.<\/p>\n
