Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has emphasised that there were no\nattempts to deactivate CCTV cameras owned by the Jakarta Provincial\nGovernment during recent demonstrations. He ensured that conditions on\nthe ground remained monitored.<\/p>\n
Pramono was initially questioned regarding the status of damaged CCTV\ncameras in the Pejompongan area during the protests. He refuted any\nclaims that efforts were made to turn off the cameras to prevent the\ndemonstrations from being monitored.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is untrue that there were attempts to turn off the CCTV and so\non, because everything is monitored and we have the data to prove it,\u201d\nPramund said in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Monday\n(31\/08\/2026).<\/p>\n
Pramono stated that only one or two facility points experienced\ndamage. However, he noted that this situation did not disrupt the\noverall monitoring system of Jakarta\u2019s CCTV.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, once again, there were only one or two points, but overall, it\nis functioning well,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, he mentioned that the Jakarta Provincial\nGovernment is currently investigating the damage to several public\nfacilities. Pramono ensured that, overall, Jakarta\u2019s public facilities\ncontinued to function properly during the protests.<\/p>\n
\u201cRegarding public facilities, whether it be CCTV, bus stops, and\nothers that may have been damaged during the protests, we are currently\ninvestigating them, including the situation in Pejompongan,\u201d he\nrevealed.<\/p>\n
