This marks the fourth time President Prabowo Subianto has attended\nthe handover of seized funds from legal cases to the state treasury.\nPrabowo smiled and admitted he was pleased to be invited to the\nevent.<\/p>\n
Prabowo stated it was an honour for him to attend. He joked\nenthusiastically about being able to see the stacks of money worth\ntrillions of rupiah directly.<\/p>\n
\u201cBrothers and sisters, once again, it is an honour for me and also a\njoy to attend this event. I think this is the umpteenth time, how many\ntimes is this? The fourth time, right? The fourth time with a total\nhandover of how much? Total around Rp40 trillion,\u201d said Prabowo during\nhis speech at the handover event to the state treasury at the Attorney\nGeneral\u2019s Office building in South Jakarta, on Wednesday\n(13\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n
\u201cI am pleased if I keep getting invited to events like this. Every\ninvitation, I get to see physically Rp10 trillion,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The seized funds from cases investigated by the Attorney General,\nhanded over in this fourth phase, total Rp10,270,051,886,464. The stacks\nof money were arranged into a three-sided pyramid backdrop, with sides\non the right, left, and centre.<\/p>\n
The trillions in seized money were placed in clear plastic bags\ncontaining Rp100,000 denominations. Of the total, Rp3,423,742,672,359\ncame from administrative fines and Rp6,846,309,214,105 from the Forest\nArea Settlement Task Force for Non-PBB Property Tax.<\/p>\n
The money will be symbolically handed over by Attorney General ST\nBurhanuddin to Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa in the presence of\nPresident Prabowo Subianto.<\/p>\n
Prabowo also revealed information about another handover of seized\nfunds with a larger value. The handover will be delivered next\nmonth.<\/p>\n
\u201cI also got a whisper that next month there will be a handover of\nRp11 trillion, apparently,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
There is Rp39 Trillion in Idle Money<\/p>\n
On that occasion, Prabowo received a report of around Rp39 trillion\nin funds whose ownership status is unclear and still stored in several\nbank accounts. According to him, the money is suspected to originate\nfrom alleged corruptors or criminals who have fled or died.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I also got a report that there is around Rp39 trillion in\nunclear money,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThose corruptors or criminals might have fled Indonesia or died,\nleaving their money in unclear accounts, right,\u201d Prabowo continued.<\/p>\n
Prabowo joked about the account owners who had many wives. According\nto him, it is possible that the family or heirs of the account owners do\nnot know about the existence of the money.<\/p>\n
\u201cMaybe he had many young wives or mistresses, so his wives, his heirs\ndon\u2019t know that he has money in those banks. It hasn\u2019t been managed for\nyears,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Prabowo\u2019s Appreciation<\/p>\n
Prabowo appreciated the handover of seized funds by the Forest Area\nSettlement Task Force. He did not want the event to be seen as mere\nceremony.<\/p>\n
\u201cI convey my thanks to all members of the Forest Area Settlement Task\nForce. I think, brothers and sisters, events like this should not be\nconsidered ceremonies or shows,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He stated that the Indonesian people want to see proof of government\nperformance. He said the people are tired of just hearing speeches.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Indonesian people have reached the stage where our people want\nto see proof. I have felt it for too long; I myself have been Indonesian\nlong enough. I feel our people are a bit bored hearing speeches and\nadvice,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He said the people must see direct proof of law enforcement.\nIncluding the handover of Rp10.2 trillion carried out today.<\/p>\n

Prabowo then recounted his visits to several regions. He said the\nHealth Minister mentioned there are thousands of puskesmas that need\nrepair. Prabowo said the seized funds will be used to repair\npuskesmas.<\/p>\n
