        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Presidential Palace has been opened for school\nchildren\u2019s visits on the instructions of President Prabowo Subianto to\nintroduce the younger generation to the government environment.<\/p>\n<p>Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the opening of the\nPresidential Palace is part of President Prabowo\u2019s desire to provide\ndirect experiences to students regarding the nation\u2019s history and the\ngovernment process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, Tuesday, 7 April 2026, on the instructions and wishes of\nPresident Prabowo, we are opening the Palace for school children. So,\ncolleagues should know together that one of President Prabowo\u2019s biggest\nprogrammes is investing in building and shaping the younger generation,\u201d\nsaid Teddy at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The instruction was implemented on Tuesday, marked by a visit from\nstudents of State Vocational High School 19 (SMKN 19) Central\nJakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Teddy explained that the activities during the students\u2019 visit\nincluded discussions and question-and-answer sessions inside the\nbuilding, tours around the Palace, and introductions to the rooms where\nimportant national decisions are made.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were many who gave testimonials earlier. So, they just saw the\nPresident\u2019s room, the place where ministers are inaugurated, the place\nwhere the President signs, the place where the President usually\nreceives guests and the people. So, in essence, President Prabowo wants\nthe Palace to be opened as widely as possible to the people. During Eid,\nduring other major holidays, and this is for school children,\u201d said\nTeddy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLater, this activity will not only be at Merdeka Palace and State\nPalace, but also at other Presidential Palaces throughout Indonesia. We\nhave eight, each Palace will also be opened for school children,\u201d said\nthe Cabinet Secretary.<\/p>\n<p>Teddy added that schools from outside Jakarta or outside Java Island\nwill be facilitated to join the visits by registering through the\nMinistry of State Secretariat and the Cabinet Secretariat.<\/p>\n<p>The visit schedule will be arranged periodically, between one to two\ntimes per week.<\/p>\n<p>Teddy also conveyed that there is no special selection for schools\nwishing to join this programme, so all schools can register.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Prabowo wants (school students) to just enter the Palace,\nget to know it, they see it directly. They see, they can have\nexperiences there, and insyaallah they will have big aspirations. There\nmight be no selection. So, please register as I mentioned earlier, then\nit will be arranged by the committee,\u201d said Teddy.<\/p>\n<p>On that occasion, Teddy added that the opening of the Presidential\nPalace to students is part of the youth development programme initiated\nby President Prabowo, which includes providing nutritious meals, school\nrenovations and sanitation facilities, installation of digital\ntelevisions for learning, as well as developing various school models\nand improving teacher welfare.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, in essence, President Prabowo wants the Palace to be opened as\nwidely as possible to the people.
