Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has warned implementing\npartners of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme to carry out their\nduties correctly. This warning was issued following the arrest of\nseveral leaders of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) by the Attorney\nAscendant General\u2019s Office (Kejagung).<\/p>\n
Prabowo cautioned \u2018rebellious partners\u2019 who dare to manipulate funds\nintended for the public. \u201cIf you feel you can be smarter than the\nUnitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), then just try it,\u201d\nPrabowo stated during the \u2018Building Indonesia\u2019s Future Generations\nThrough Nutrition\u2019 event at the Sentul International Convention Centre\n(SICC), Bogor Regency, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Prabowo reminded them to return to the right path, emphasising that\nthe MBG is a vital programme with a significant positive impact on\nsociety. He stated that he would not hesitate to take action against\nrogue partners and expressed readiness to strengthen the efforts of law\nenforcement agencies in investigating any cases.<\/p>\n
\u201cBPKP, KPK, everyone\u2014we must strengthen law enforcement. Because I do\nnot want the NKRI to be insulted. I do not want the Government of the\nRepublic of Indonesia to be disrespected,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Previously, three former leaders of the National Nutrition Agency\nwere named suspects by the Attorney General\u2019s Office. The trio includes\nthe Head of the BGN, Dadan Hindayana, and two Deputy Heads, Lodewyk\nPusung and Sonny Sonjaya. They have been designated as suspects in\nrelation to corruption involving mismanagement of the MBG programme for\nthe 2025-2026 period.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter a series of examinations of DH, SS, and LP based on two\nsufficient pieces of evidence, investigators have named DH, SS, and LP\nas suspects,\u201d said the Director of Investigation of the Junior Attorney\nGeneral for Special Crimes, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi.<\/p>\n
He noted that the suspects are linked to alleged corruption involving\nmark-ups in the procurement of various goods, including electric\nmotorcycles, shoes, and tablets.
