        "content": "<p>President Prabowo Subianto has assured that the Red and White Cabinet\ngovernment under his leadership will not make Indonesia dependent on\nsupplies of goods from abroad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must be self-sufficient, we must not depend on supplies from\noutside, because if the situation suddenly changes for the worse we must\nstill survive,\u201d Prabowo said while delivering his State Address at the\nAnnual Session of the MPR\/DPR\/DPD at the Parliament Building, Jakarta,\nFriday (14\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>He said that this dependence on imports must be addressed immediately\nbecause ongoing geopolitical conflicts and trade wars around the world\nare increasingly restricting the flow of goods.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, if Indonesia cannot be self-reliant, or stand on its own\nfeet to meet domestic needs, he believes the country will face problems\nin the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause we know the world is facing geopolitical conflicts, trade\nwars, open warfare, in Europe, in the Middle East, all over the world\nexperiencing supply chain disruptions and economic pressure.
