The Chairman of Relawan Cinta Prabowo (GCP), H. Kurniawan, has\nhighlighted the viral video of Budi Arie\u2019s statement that has triggered\na wave of political speculation. In the video, Budi Arie bluntly\nreferred to his political instinct regarding the possibility of a change\nof president or an acceleration of the general election before the 2029\nterm ends.<\/p>\n
He made the remarks during a discussion and press conference themed\n\u201cMaintaining National Stability and Conduciveness\u201d on Wednesday, 26\nAugust 2026.<\/p>\n
According to Kurniawan, the statement has given rise to various\npolitical speculations about the issue of accelerating a transfer of\npower. He stressed that Prabowo\u2019s volunteer supporters will continue to\nsafeguard the government until the end of its term in accordance with\nthe constitution.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are ready to stand with Prabowo to defend this government not\nbecause we are hungry for power, but for the sake of the nation\u2019s and\nthe country\u2019s progress,\u201d he said on Wednesday, 26 August 2026.<\/p>\n
His side respects every political view expressed by anyone. However,\nBudi Arie\u2019s statement about taking over power sooner than 2029 is deeply\nregrettable and they condemn it.<\/p>\n

At the event, the Chairman of the Exponen 08 Presidium, M Damar, also\nresponded to the planned demonstration on 27 August 2026 at the DPR\/MPR\nbuilding. He said he respects the activity. According to him, expressing\nopinions is part of democracy.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe invite any element of society wishing to carry out actions and\nexpress aspirations to maintain order,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Damar continued that his side strongly condemns any form of\nmobilisation deliberately directed at provoking, creating chaos and\nrioting. \u201cPlease express your aspirations. Differing opinions are\nallowed, damaging the country is not,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
