President Prabowo Subianto has asked the young civil administrators\nof IPDN\u2019s 33rd intake for 2026 to build a government that is strong,\nclean, and stands with the people. According to him, solid governance is\nthe key to ensuring Indonesia is not easily divided by other\nparties.<\/p>\n
He delivered these remarks in a speech during the inauguration\nceremony for the 33rd intake of IPDN young civil administrators at the\nIPDN campus in Jatinangor, Sumedang Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (29\nJuly).<\/p>\n
The head of state emphasised that Indonesia needs an apparatus\ncapable of strengthening governance from within. He said a strong nation\ncan only be built through a government that is excellent, efficient,\ndisciplined, free of corruption, patriotic, and always prioritises the\ninterests of the people.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor a nation to be strong and successful, it requires a domestic\ngovernment that is excellent, efficient, disciplined, and most\nimportantly, one that is not corrupt, that loves the homeland, and that\nputs the interests of the people above the interests of others,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Prabowo said history shows that nations with strong governments are\nable to bring about prosperity and well-being for their people.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith such a domestic government, human history teaches us that the\nnation will succeed, the people will prosper, and the citizens will live\nin welfare,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Prabowo reminded that Indonesia is an extraordinarily rich country,\nwhich is why for hundreds of years it has been a target of other\nnations. One method used to dominate Indonesia, he said, is the politics\nof setting people against one another, or divide et impera.<\/p>\n
\u201cMany of our leaders were played against each other for hundreds of\nyears. Divide et impera, divide and rule. That is their law. That is\ntheir doctrine. Divide et impera, divide: divide between ethnic groups,\ndivide between religions, divide between races, divide between ethnic\ncommunities, divide between social classes,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
President Prabowo said the IPDN class of 2026 will carry the baton of\ngovernment when Indonesia breaks into the world\u2019s four largest economies\nin the next 25 years.<\/p>\n
President Prabowo reminded the young IPDN civil administrators of\n2026 that the path of bureaucracy is full of challenges and demands\nphysical and personal sacrifice for the sake of the people.<\/p>\n
In inaugurating 1,204 young IPDN civil administrators, President\nPrabowo reminded that civil servants are the children of the people and\nare obliged to prioritise the public interest.<\/p>\n
