Nevertheless, Prabowo emphasised that Indonesia possesses great\nstrength to face such challenges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDue to the war in the Middle East, we must be prepared to face\ndifficulties. But again, we are grateful that the Indonesian nation\nactually has strength. We have great strength,\u201d said Prabowo whilst\ninaugurating 218 bridges across Indonesia, including in remote areas, in\na virtual ceremony held on Monday, 9 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Prabowo stressed the importance of managing national wealth and power\nmore effectively so that they can be utilised optimally for the benefit\nof the people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn this occasion, I simply wish to convey that our strength, our\nextraordinary wealth, must be managed and controlled even better,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Prabowo emphasised that such efforts must be accompanied by a strong\ncommitment to fighting corruption. He highlighted instances of abuse of\nauthority resulting in the loss of state wealth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor this reason, I must stress again that we must fight corruption\nat every level. Corruption, abuse of authority, fraud, collusion with\nunscrupulous businessmen\u2014these are what cause state resources to leak\naway,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>However, he noted that such wealth should be used to strengthen\nnational resilience and address various potential disasters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is what causes much of our wealth to be lost. Wealth that we\ncould use to face any disaster,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
