        "content": "<p>President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to depart from Bali for East\nNusa Tenggara (NTT) on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, to directly inspect\nthe condition of displaced residents and the handling of earthquake\nimpacts in several areas of NTT.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi, who is\naccompanying the President on his working visit to Bali and NTT,\nexplained that the President will see first-hand the condition of the\ncommunity and ensure that disaster management and the fulfilment of\nresidents\u2019 needs are proceeding well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis visit is also part of efforts to ensure coordination between\nthe central government, regional governments, the TNI, the National\nPolice, and all relevant elements is effective in handling the\nearthquake on Flores Island, NTT,\u201d said State Secretary Prasetyo in\nDenpasar, Bali, when contacted from Jakarta on Wednesday, 26 August\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>Prasetyo continued that since the first day of the disaster,\nPresident Prabowo had directly ordered that aid distribution be carried\nout quickly, in a targeted manner, and evenly across all affected\nareas.<\/p>\n<p>From 15 August 2026 to 24 August 2026, a total of 204.22 tonnes of\nbasic food supplies, 27.71 tonnes of ready-to-eat meals, 10.29 tonnes of\nmineral water, as well as medicines, tents, blankets, mattresses,\ncommunication equipment, and two field hospital units have been\ndistributed to disaster-affected areas on Flores Island, NTT.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHealth service support for affected communities is also being\ncontinuously strengthened through the deployment of various disaster\nresponse health facilities. The KRI Soeharso-990, belonging to the\nIndonesian Navy, has docked at Reo Port, Manggarai Regency, and is\nfunctioning as a field hospital, while the Ksatria Airlangga Hospital\nShip is in Nangalirang Bay, East Manggarai Regency, to support public\nhealth services,\u201d said Pras.<\/p>\n<p>At the regional level, Pras continued that two field hospitals have\nalso been operationalised, one at Ruteng Regional General Hospital in\nManggarai Regency for operative services, where 29 surgical procedures\nhave been performed cumulatively, and another at Aeramo Regional General\nHospital in Nagekeo Regency to support emergency health services,\nsurgical procedures, and care for earthquake victims.<\/p>\n<p>Pras then emphasised that the handling of the NTT earthquake disaster\nimpacts will not stop at the emergency response period.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government will ensure that the recovery process continues in\nstages, not only through the rehabilitation of affected facilities and\nservices, but also reconstruction to rebuild infrastructure and\ncommunity life in a better and more sustainable manner,\u201d said Pras.<\/p>",
