President Prabowo Subianto will inaugurate the National Electric\nMotorcycle Ecosystem (MOLINAS) today. The ecosystem is being established\nat the production facility of PT Ilectra Motor Group (ALVA) in Cikarang,\nBekasi Regency, West Java.<\/p>\n
Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said that during the event,\nPresident Prabowo will inspect the production and exhibition facilities,\nreceive a report on the development of MOLINAS, watch a video\npresentation about the programme, and deliver directives.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis activity will be one of the steps to strengthen the development\nof the national electric motorcycle industry and encourage the formation\nof an integrated electric vehicle ecosystem,\u201d Prasetyo said in his\nstatement on Thursday, 13 August 2026.<\/p>\n
The event will also be followed by the launch of the MOLINAS\necosystem and the signing of a joint commitment among stakeholders.\nMOLINAS is not merely the launch of a single brand or vehicle model, but\nwill be developed as a national ecosystem.<\/p>\n
The ecosystem will encompass industrial and manufacturing\ndevelopment, components and batteries, charging and battery swap\ninfrastructure, financing, distribution, after-sales services, and\nstrengthening market absorption. PT Len Industri will serve as the lead\nintegrator to orchestrate collaboration among stakeholders in developing\nthe ecosystem.<\/p>\n
Prasetyo said the development of this ecosystem is expected to\nstrengthen industrial downstreaming, increase domestic manufacturing\ncapacity and supply chains, and open opportunities for job creation as\nwell as the involvement of MSMEs and cooperatives.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the same time, the development of electric motorcycles will be\ndirected towards supporting energy security by reducing dependence on\nfuel oil and increasing the utilisation of electrical energy,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The inauguration of MOLINAS, he continued, will be the starting point\nof a national electric motorcycle ecosystem development process that\nneeds to be continued in a gradual and measured manner.<\/p>\n
According to Prasetyo, the most important thing after the\ninauguration is to ensure that industrial development, supply chains,\ninfrastructure, financing, and market absorption can proceed in an\nintegrated and sustainable manner.<\/p>\n
