        "content": "<p>The Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry\n(KADIN), Anindya Bakrie, stated that President Prabowo Subianto is\nwilling to hold regular meetings with KADIN. These meetings will serve\nas a forum to discuss business developments and economic conditions,\nextending down to the regional levels.<\/p>\n<p>Anindya noted that these routine meetings are expected to take place\nevery three months, with discussions becoming more focused on specific\nsectors. \u201cWe are very grateful that the President has expressed his\nwillingness to hold periodic meetings with KADI. We hope this can occur\nevery three months and will be organised by sector to ensure a more\nfocused approach and a better understanding of field conditions in the\nregions,\u201d Anindya told reporters at the Parliament Complex in Senayan,\nCentral Jakarta, on Friday, 31 July 2026.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting with President Prabowo, KADIN presented various\ninputs from regional businesses and national business associations. The\nissues discussed included foreign relations, artificial intelligence\n(AI), food security, the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal\n(MBG) programme, and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, representatives from the Indonesian National\nConstruction Contractors Association (Gapensi) provided input regarding\njob opportunities for regional contractors amidst the current fiscal\nconditions. Other participants raised issues concerning Buton asphalt\nfrom Southeast Sulawesi, tobacco commodities from East Java, and the\ntourism sector.<\/p>\n<p>Anindya added that KADIN views intensive communication between the\ngovernment, regional KADIN branches, associations, and business unions\nas increasingly vital amidst global geopolitical and geo-economic\ndynamics that affect international trade, investment, and global supply\nchains. \u201cIn general, KADIN sees that while there are many challenges, we\nremain optimistic. We have chosen to increase communication, continue\nour efforts, and seek various breakthroughs on the ground,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Vice Chairman and Coordinator for Food Affairs of\nKADIN Indonesia, Mulyadi Jayabaya, stated that the President was open to\nthe feedback provided by KADIN officials and regional representatives.\nHe noted that the President received the views of the business community\nwell and welcomed the proposal for regular dialogue with KADIN.<\/p>",
