        "content": "<p>President Prabowo Subianto will convene a Cabinet Session to discuss\npreparations for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri on Friday 13 March.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will be a Cabinet Session on readiness for Ramadan today at 4\nPM WIB,\u201d Cabinet Secretary Teddy said in a brief message.<\/p>\n<p>Before holding the cabinet session, Teddy announced that the event\nwould begin with zakat al-maal and zakat al-fitr contributions from\ncabinet members to the National Zakat Board.<\/p>\n<p>He stated the event is planned to take place at approximately 3 PM\nWIB at the State Palace.<\/p>\n<p>Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri will arrive shortly. Muhammadiyah previously\ndecided that Eid al-Fitr 1447 H falls on Friday, 20 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the new government will confirm 1 Shawwal through an isbat\nsession scheduled for 19 March.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s Eid is also expected to not be celebrated together,\nsimilar to the beginning of Ramadan this year.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Djamaluddin, a researcher at the National Research and\nInnovation Agency (BRIN), estimates that during the isbat session on 19\nMarch 2026, the crescent moon may not yet be visible.<\/p>\n<p>This is because on that day the hilal, or new moon, does not yet meet\nthe MABIMS criteria requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring maghrib on 19 March 2026 in the Southeast Asian region, the\nposition of the hilal does not meet the new MABIMS criteria, therefore 1\nShawwal 1447 = 21 March 2026,\u201d Thomas wrote in his blog post in June\n2025.<\/p>",
