        "content": "<p>Bisnis.com, JAKARTA \u2014 President Prabowo Subianto is undertaking an\nofficial visit to Tokyo, Japan, to discuss various potential areas of\ncooperation, including in the technology and digital sectors.<\/p>\n<p>In his first official visit to the Land of the Rising Sun, Prabowo is\nscheduled to hold a high-level meeting with Japanese Prime Minister\nSanae Takaichi.<\/p>\n<p>The state delegation, accompanied by the Minister of Communication\nand Digital (Menkomdigi) Meutya Hafid along with members of the Red and\nWhite Cabinet, landed at Haneda Airport in Tokyo on Sunday evening\n(29\/3\/2026) at 19:10 local time.<\/p>\n<p>Menkomdigi Meutya Hafid stated that this visit will address several\nstrategic matters. Moreover, it is hoped that Japanese investment in\nIndonesia will increase through this visit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis presidential visit will focus on discussing strategic issues\nbetween the two countries, including cooperation in the fields of\ntechnology and digital,\u201d said Meutya in her official statement on Monday\n(30\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to paying a courtesy call on Emperor Naruhito of Japan,\nPrabowo\u2019s agenda in Tokyo is laden with macroeconomic content.<\/p>\n<p>The former Kopassus Deputy Commander is scheduled to meet with\nseveral CEOs of Japanese mega-corporations to witness the signing of\nseveral strategic investment agreements.<\/p>\n<p>This step is seen as an effort by the government to ensure that\nIndonesia not only serves as a market for Japanese technology products\nbut also becomes a production partner through incoming investments.<\/p>\n<p>For context, cooperation between Indonesia and Japan in the\ntechnology and digital sectors is not new.
