        "content": "<p>President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has set a\ntarget for all transport in Indonesia to be powered by electricity in\nthe future.<\/p>\n<p>He made the remarks at the inauguration of the first-phase\nrevitalisation of Semarang Tawang Station in Central Java on Thursday\n(30\/7).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want everything to be electricity-based. We will build green\nenergy, renewable energy. Not just trains \u2014 almost all of our vehicles\nwill eventually run on electricity. Our trucks, our buses, our cars, our\nmotorcycles,\u201d Prabowo said.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, Prabowo stated that rail-based public transport is\nan important instrument of economic democracy.<\/p>\n<p>He described railways as a vital instrument for growing the economy\nof the Indonesian people, saying that trains bring broad benefits to\nsociety, particularly for those on low incomes.<\/p>\n<p>Prabowo noted that railways play a major role as an economical\nlogistics instrument, and emphasised that trains must serve the wider\npublic. He added that after this, the government will work on the\nTrans-Sumatra Railway.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter Trans-Sumatra, there will be Trans-Kalimantan \u2014 if possible,\nwe will start them simultaneously,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
