President Prabowo Subianto is targeting the establishment of 30,000\nKopdes Merah Putih (Red and White Village Cooperatives) by the end of\n2026. To date, 10,000 cooperatives are already operating optimally out\nof a total of 10,333.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur target is 30,000 optimal cooperatives by the end of 2026,\u201d\nPrabowo said in his address at the Annual Session of the MPR and the\nJoint Session of the DPR and DPD in commemoration of the 81st\nAnniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at the Nusantara Building,\nParliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Friday (14\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
The target was deliberately set high, and Prabowo expressed\nconfidence that it can be achieved. He also quoted President Soekarno,\nwho urged people to hang their aspirations as high as the sky.<\/p>\n
\u201cTargets must be high; work hard, and God willing, we will get\nthere,\u201d Prabowo said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I set a target of 12,000, we might reach 11,000. If the target is\n30,000 and we reach 29,000, that is still an achievement,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
He explained that the 10,000 cooperatives are already working\noptimally, with operations and infrastructure up and running.<\/p>\n
The cooperatives, he said, have been purchasing fisheries and\nagricultural produce. Likewise, transport services have been operating\nindependently.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the first time in history that cooperatives have been\norganised, assisted, and equipped with their own transport,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n
As a result, Prabowo claimed, there will no longer be spoiled\nharvests. He pledged that his administration can help the people\noptimally.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo more spoiled harvests, because there is no one to buy the produce\nand no lorries to transport the harvest\u2014mangoes spoiling, rambutans\nspoiling, tomatoes spoiling, carrots spoiling.
