President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has stated\nthat the government has so far succeeded in establishing 10,000 Red and\nWhite Village\/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP) as part of efforts to\nstrengthen the people\u2019s economy from the grassroots level. Of the 10,000\nKDKMP that have been built, Prabowo said 3,300 are already operating\noptimally.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd the target for the end of 2026 is for 30,000 Red and White\nVillage and Sub-district Cooperatives to be established and operating\nwell,\u201d Prabowo said during the Annual Session of the MPR-DPR RI on\nFriday (14\/8).<\/p>\n
Through KDKMP, Prabowo expressed confidence that Indonesia will\ncontrol its own supply chain, thereby reducing dependence on the global\nmarket.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are not anti-market; we cannot be anti-market. The economy is\nbased on the movement of the market, but the market can be manipulated,\nthe market can be damaged, the market can be controlled by those who\ncommand large capital. Therefore, our people must be helped, organised\nand empowered through cooperatives. Cooperatives that are assisted,\nstrengthened and empowered,\u201d Prabowo asserted.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Prabowo stated that all government-subsidised goods will\nbe distributed through KDKMP. \u201cSo that subsidised goods cannot and must\nnot be traded. Subsidies are the people\u2019s money; subsidised goods are\nsubsidised by the people\u2019s money, for the people, and are not\nmerchandise,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
The KDKMP programme is one of the national strategic programmes\nlaunched by President Prabowo Subianto to improve public welfare.<\/p>\n
Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has denied reports claiming\nthat the salary of Red and White Village Cooperative (Kopdes) managers\nreaches Rp16 million per month.<\/p>\n
BPJS Kesehatan has confirmed that deductions for Kopdes Merah Putih\nadministrators and managers are taken from income, not from the state\nbudget (APBN).<\/p>\n
The official salary figure for Kopdes Merah Putih managers has not\nyet been announced, but estimates range from Rp5\u20138 million with state\nbudget support for two years.<\/p>\n
According to Gus Ipul, the integration is expected not only to\nfacilitate public access to services but also to strengthen economic\nactivity at the village level.<\/p>\n
