        "content": "<p>President Prabowo Subiability has distributed 25,000 units of\nelectric rickshaws, produced by PT Pindad Bandung, to rickshaw drivers\nthroughout the island of Java. This assistance does not utilise the\nstate budget (APBN), but is instead sourced from the President\u2019s\npersonal funds, distributed through the National Solidarity Movement\nFoundation (GSN).<\/p>\n<p>The Director of Business Planning and Development of the GSN\nFoundation, Retired Major General Firman Dahlan, explained that the\nfirst production phase by PT Pindad is currently limited. The aid is\nfocused on elderly rickshaw drivers aged 55 and above to support the\neconomic productivity of their families.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese environmentally friendly electric rickshaws are being provided\nto every region, and in the future, there will be additional units based\non requests from cities and regencies. The goal is to help the elderly\ncontinue to earn a living to improve their family\u2019s economy,\u201d said\nFirman Dahlan in Tasikmalaya on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the economic aspect, Firman added that the use of these\nelectric rickshaws is expected to support the tourism sector and assist\nMSMEs in the regions. However, he emphasised a specific mandate from\nPresident Prabowo that this assistance must be well-maintained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President\u2019s message is that these electric rickshaws must not be\npawned, transferred to others, rented out, or have their components\naltered, such as removing stickers or cables. We also request that the\nTasikmalaya City Government prepares free Public Electric Vehicle\nCharging Stations (SPKLU),\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n<p>Based on distribution data in the East Priangan region, Tasikmalaya\nCity and Regency received 220 units, Ciamis received 160 units, Banjar\nCity received 200 units, and Pangandaran received 246 units.<\/p>\n<p>The Mayor of Tasikmalaya, Viman Alfarizi Ramadhan, welcomed this\ninitiative as it aligns with local government programmes promoting the\nuse of environmentally friendly vehicles. Regarding charging\ninfrastructure, Viman noted that facilities are currently available at\nPLN offices and the City Park area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis assistance greatly eases the burden on the elderly in earning a\nliving. For charging, in addition to existing points, rickshaw drivers\ncan also charge batteries independently at their respective homes,\u201d\nconcluded Viman.<\/p>",
