President Prabowo Subianto has stated that he has received\ninformation regarding the parties behind several demonstrations that\nrecently escalated into riots.<\/p>\n
This was revealed during a dialogue with senior journalists and\nexperts at Padepoon Garuda Yaksa, Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java,\non Sunday (6\/9\/2026). During the session, Prabowo was questioned\nregarding the political motives within the protests and the identities\nof the intellectual actors involved.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndonesia will be safe if we can eradicate corruption. Naturally,\ncorruptors will not be pleased,\u201d said Prabowo.<\/p>\n
Prabowo confirmed that corrupt individuals are the intellectual\nactors driving the demonstrations, including those involved in\n\u2018under-invoicing\u2019 practices or the manipulation of export reports.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is roughly the case. That is one group (corruptors). Secondly,\nI also say that for over 30 years, our wealth has, in my view, been\nmisappropriated through under-invoicing practices,\u201d he replied.<\/p>\n
The Head of State explained that over the last 34 years, these\nfraudulent reporting practices have caused the state to lose up to\nUS$908 billion or Rp15,000 trillion.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, he admitted to receiving reports that many youths are\nbeing paid between Rp100,000 and Rp200,000 to participate in the\ndemonstrations, including reports identifying the intellectual\nactors.<\/p>\n
