Prabowo began his diplomatic tour in the United States from February\n19 to 21, where he joined world leaders at the inaugural meeting of the\nBoard of Peace for Gaza in Washington, D.C., reaffirming Indonesia\u2019s\ncommitment to supporting peacebuilding efforts in Palestine.<\/p>\n
He said he had studied the 20-point peace plan proposed by U.S.\nPresident Donald Trump for the BoP and expressed optimism about\nPalestine entering a peaceful era.<\/p>\n
Prabowo later held a bilateral meeting with Trump to advance talks on\ntrade and tariff arrangements, which concluded with the signing of the\nAgreement on Reciprocal Trade exempting 1,819 Indonesian product tariff\nlines from U.S. import duties.<\/p>\n
Commodities covered by the duty relief include palm oil, coffee,\ncocoa, and electronics components.<\/p>\n
Prabowo then flew to London, United Kingdom, where he witnessed the\nsigning of a framework agreement between Danantara, Indonesia\u2019s\nsovereign wealth fund, and Arm Limited on February 23 to strengthen the\ncountry\u2019s semiconductor industry.<\/p>\n
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said\nthe agreement is expected to provide training for 15,000 Indonesian\nengineers within the Arm ecosystem.<\/p>\n
From London, Prabowo proceeded to Amman, Jordan, on February 25,\nwhere he held one-on-one and delegation meetings with King Abdullah II,\nfocusing on Palestinian peace, Indonesia\u2019s Board of Peace role, and\nrecent incidents in the West Bank.<\/p>\n
During the engagements, Prabowo stressed the importance of Jakarta\nstepping up coordination with Amman, citing Jordan\u2019s strategic location\nfor supporting aid distribution and de-escalation efforts.<\/p>\n
On the final leg of the trip, Prabowo visited Abu Dhabi on Thursday\n(February 26). He attended a gathering and iftar with UAE President\nMohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) and rulers of the other six emirates\nat Qasr Al Bahr Palace.<\/p>\n
Prabowo and MBZ also convened a bilateral meeting to discuss\nstrategic issues, exploring opportunities to deepen cooperation in\nenergy, investment, and the economy.<\/p>\n
Marking 50 years of bilateral relations, the high-level forum\nreflected the two countries\u2019 commitment to elevating their collaboration\nin pursuit of mutual and lasting benefits.<\/p>\n
