President Prabowo Subianto plans to place presidential envoys in\nstate-owned enterprises. The Head of State made this announcement at an\nevent celebrating the anniversary of the Danantara Investment Management\nAgency held at Wisma Danantara in Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Prabowo stated that he has already appointed several presidential\nenvoys. Some of the special envoys appointed by Prabowo since taking\noffice as President include Muhamad Mardiono as Presidential Envoy for\nFood Security and Raffi Farid Ahmad as Presidential Envoy for Youth\nDevelopment and Arts Workers.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have appointed presidential envoys, and perhaps later I will\nappoint envoys to each state-owned enterprise that we manage,\u201d said\nPrabowo in Jakarta on Wednesday evening, 11 March 2026.<\/p>\n
For Prabowo, each state-owned enterprise or BUMN managed by Danantara\nmust be monitored to prevent leakage of state wealth. State-owned\nenterprises, he noted, are the \u201clifeblood of the Indonesian nation.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cWe must monitor because this is the lifeblood of the\nIndonesian nation. If this blood continues to leak, our nation will be\nin difficulty.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite this concern, the Chairman of the Gerindra Party claimed that\nIndonesia has a strong and bright future ahead. He emphasised that\nIndonesia must remain united and harmonious, particularly amid a world\nsituation full of uncertainty. \u201cWe face crises with courage. Crisis is\nopportunity. We are united, we are harmonious, we work hard,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Prabowo also reminded Danantara of the importance of oversight.\nAccording to him, many government investment management agencies in\nwealthy countries have suffered losses due to poor management.<\/p>\n
Therefore, he urged Danantara\u2019s leadership to safeguard, monitor, and\nmanage the agency as well as possible. \u201cI entrust you with vigilance,\nmindfulness and caution. Protect yourselves. Remember, the hopes of the\nentire nation, all the people rest on your shoulders.
