Jakarta \u2014 President Prabowo Subianto has requested Transport Minister\nDudy Purwagandhi to ensure that the policy of transport ticket discounts\nduring the Lebaran homecoming period can be implemented optimally across\nall transport modes.<\/p>\n
\u201cI now wish to convey several matters related to the Lebaran\nhomecoming that we are facing. First, I request the Transport Minister\nto ensure that the discount price policy can be implemented as\neffectively as possible,\u201d Prabowo said in his opening remarks at the\nFull Cabinet Session at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n
The President stated that the discount policy covers airfares, train\ntickets, ship fares, and toll road tariffs used by the public during the\nLebaran exodus and return journey.<\/p>\n
Beyond ensuring the implementation of the discount policy, the\nPresident also requested that service quality for the public at every\ntransport point be maintained during the homecoming period.<\/p>\n
\u201cNext, I request that the quality of service at rest areas, ports,\nairports, and all stations be improved. Try to avoid uncontrolled\nqueuing,\u201d Prabowo said.<\/p>\n
The government has officially implemented a transport ticket discount\nstimulus with reductions of up to 30 per cent to support the smooth flow\nof the Lebaran 2026 homecoming journey.<\/p>\n
A discount of up to 30 per cent is provided for trains, ships, and\ntoll roads, whilst domestic economy class airline tickets receive a\ndiscount of 17\u201318 per cent, and ferry port services are fully\nsubsidised.<\/p>\n
The discounts apply during specific periods to alleviate\ncongestion.<\/p>\n
For train transport, a 30 per cent discount applies to all\nnon-assigned economy trains from 14 to 29 March 2026. The target is to\nreach 1.28 million passengers with a total of 188 journeys, comprising\n156 regular trains and 32 additional trains.<\/p>\n
For sea transport, a 30 per cent discount is provided for economy\nclass across all Pelni PSO ship routes. This discount applies to\ndepartures from 11 March to 5 April 2026, targeting 445,000 passengers\non 25 ships.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, air transport offers a price reduction of 17 to 18 per\ncent for domestic economy class aeroplane tickets.<\/p>\n
The aeroplane ticket discount applies during 14\u201329 March 2026, with\nticket purchases beginning from 10 February. The target beneficiary is\n3.32 million passengers.<\/p>\n
For ferry services, the government provides stimulus in the form of\n100 per cent waiver of port service tariffs.<\/p>\n
This discount applies from 12\u201331 March 2026 at 14 ferry ports.<\/p>\n
Additionally, a 30 per cent price reduction is also applied to toll\nroad tariffs on 25 sections in Sumatra and Java. The discount applies on\n15\u201316 March and 26\u201327 March 2026.<\/p>\n
